Welcome to the very first episode of Round Table Conversations with Yolimar.

In this introduction, I’m inviting you into the heart behind this podcast — the story of a simple round table that held laughter, tears, deep conversations, and meaningful connection. What once was just a piece of furniture in my home became a symbol of safety, honesty, and belonging.

In this episode, I share how this podcast was born, how God shifted my original vision, and why I feel called to create a space centered on faith, real-life conversations, and Biblical truth for women navigating life in every season.

Around this table, we talk about life as it really is, faith, healing, identity, relationships, and growth, and we always bring it back to God’s presence and guidance.

Whether you’re listening alone, on your way to work, or in a quiet moment of your day, my prayer is that you feel seen, encouraged, and reminded that you are not walking this journey alone.

There is always a seat for you at the table.

I'd love to hear from you! Send me "fan mail" here.

Thank you for spending this time with me. If this episode spoke to your heart, share it with someone who may need encouragement today. Don't forget to follow the podcast so you never miss a new episode.

If you're looking for deeper support, I offer one-on-one coaching where we walk through life, faith, and healing together. You can connect with me at coachedbyyolimar@gmail.com.

Until next time, stay rooted in truth, walk in grace, and trust God in every season.

Have you ever had a dream, a thought, an idea that just kept nudging at you even when you didn't feel ready for it? A few years ago I had one of those moments. I thought about starting a podcast, and in my head, it was going to be about real estate, life, and mental health. Can I take you somewhere for just a sec? I want you to picture a table. Not a fancy one, not something you see in a magazine, just a simple round dining room table. I had one like it in my home years ago. It was wood with these brown and beige checkered ceramic tiles, nothing expensive, nothing that would impress anyone. In fact, it was even slightly damaged. But somehow, it became the place where everything happened. It didn't need to be perfect for something meaningful to happen there. Whenever people came over to visit me, that's where we sat. And I mean really sat, not just to eat, but to talk. There was laughter, like the kind where you can't catch your breath. There were tears, the kind you try to hide at first, but then you don't have to anymore. There were conversations that went deeper than surface level, the kind where you leave feeling lighter, seen, understood. And what I didn't realize at the time was that table was more than just furniture. It was a space of comfort, a space of safety, a space where people could just be. And that's exactly why this podcast exists. Welcome to Roundtable Conversations with Yolimar, a space where we come together to talk about real life through faith, through truth, and through the love of God. I'm Yolimar, a follower of Jesus, a mama five, and a certified Christian life coach. And I'm so glad you're here. When I was thinking about what to name this podcast, and after numerous name changes, I couldn't get that table out of my mind. I can still see it so clearly. The color, the texture, the way we all leaned in during conversations, and I started to realize that the table represents everything I want this space to be. Not perfect, not polished, not about appearances, but real, honest conversations, a safe space, moments where you feel like you can exhale. Because let's be honest, we all need a place like that. A place where you don't have to pretend you have it all together, a place where your faith can grow, even in the middle of your questions, a place where you're reminded you're not alone. As time went on and the more I reflected on the podcast, the more my vision shifted, and slowly the idea transformed. It became less about topics and more about transformation, more about using my voice to honor God, to encourage women, and to create a space where people could encounter truth, healing, and love. Because the more I get to know God, the more I experience his love, the more I realize I don't want to keep that to myself. I want other women to experience it too. The peace, the healing, the way he meets you right where you are. So what can you expect here? Real conversations, not surface level, but the kind that actually speaks to your life. We'll talk about faith, healing, relationships, identity, the things we walk through every single day, and we'll also bring it back to God's truth. Because I truly believe what's written in Proverbs 27 17, as iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another. That's what this is. That's what I want the space to be. A place where we sharpen, support, and encourage each other, even across the miles, even through the headphones. Even though we're not physically sitting at the same table, we're still sharpening one another. We're still growing. We're not here to compete, compare, or measure our worth. We're here to grow together, to speak life and to celebrate the beauty and strength God has placed in each of us. This space is primarily for women, because I feel deeply called to women's ministry and creating a sisterhood. But truly, anyone who needs encouragement is welcome here. We were not meant to navigate life alone. God designed us for community, sisterhood, and support. And that's exactly the kind of space I want to create here. A space where women can come together, even through a podcast, to stand beside one another, to lift each other up, and to share in both the joys and the struggles. My heart is that this becomes more than just a podcast you listen to, but a place you feel connected to, a place where you think, I needed that today. If you've ever felt alone in your struggles, like no one sees your heart, or like you need a reminder of God's love, you are in the right place. So I want to invite you into this. Tune in weekly, share this with a woman in your life who needs encouragement, and allow yourself to receive what God wants to do in your heart through these conversations. Because even through something as simple as a podcast, we can still sit at the table together. My desire for this podcast is simple. I want to encourage, uplift, and equip women to live fully in God's love. Each week, we'll talk about topics that touch our hearts and our daily lives, how to grow spiritually and emotionally, how to navigate relationships, how to pursue healing and wholeness, and how to build faith-filled habits that actually work. We'll explore scripture, share stories, and have real conversations, like you're sitting down with a sister who gets it and who wants you to walk in freedom, joy, and purpose. So, how do you engage in this community? Tune in each week for new episodes. Share an episode with that woman in your life who needs encouragement. Reflect on what you hear. Take one small step this week towards growth or healing. And know that you're part of a sisterhood, even if we're not meeting in person. This podcast is more than just my voice. It's a space for you to feel seen, heard, and supported. And I can't wait to grow alongside you. Let me pray. God, thank you for this space and for bringing each listener here today. Thank you for every woman listening right now, for her story, her heart, her journey. Lord, I pray that this podcast becomes a place of comfort and safety, just like that table once was, a place where she can come as she is, without pressure, without pretending, and encounter you. Grow her faith, heal the areas that need healing, and remind her that she is not alone, that she is cherished and deeply loved by you. Father, surround her with community, even in moments where she feels by herself, and let every conversation here point us back to you. May this podcast be a small but powerful part of that reminder. In your holy and precious name, amen.
